Attention: Monthly meeting notice!
Sunday, November 21st, 2004
This month's meeting will be held at Ito Ay Atin in West Covina
(corner of Amar & Asuza behind Max's Restaurant) at 9 o'clock, due to the LOVE RIDE, this month is on the 3rd
sunday this month. See you there!
If you didn't ride to this year's 4th of July Hollister Run, you missed
out! Approximately 20 riders' from PHRC rode this year for the 400+ mile one-way trek to be where it all started. There were
thousands of bike's to gaze and admire with almost as many vendors to buy your normal memorabilia. Not only was it a good
venue but the weather was the best. Anyway, if you didn't ride, don't miss out for the next one...
The annual Memorial Day Thunder Run was a good local ride. Several PHRC member's rode the 5 mile journey
honoring those who fought and died for our nation's freedom. Over 5000 bikes participated in this year's ride showing
that it is getting to be a very popular local event! After the memorial at the Riverside National Cemetary the festivities
tranferred on to Citrus Park for food, music and vendors (Hooter and Budweiser girls too). To end the ride, we gorged ourselves
at the all you can eat King Buffet in Corona, yum yum. Thanks for the treat Edmund Ison!
Laughlin River Run a scorcher!
This years rally was one not to miss. The weather was perfect, HOT and sunny! Less leather,
more skin! Ten lucky members' attended this annual river rally (including myself) which was great promotion for the group.
Not bad for a local ride for the Las Vegas and So. Cal Members. Several new Pinoy Biker's were met and interested
in PHRC! A few of us camped out (hard core) at Davis Camp and the rest stayed at the hotel casinos (Prima Donas) He he
he. Gambling, all you can eat buffet, vendors and Hawaiian Tropics bikini model contest was enjoyed. Hopefully we can
continue to show more PHRC members joining in on the fun. Next month's ride/rally will be on May 31st. More info
to come. Remember to attend next month's meeting due to our group picture day. Again, this will be sent to Filipinas Magazine
with an article. Show your support!
Arizona Bike Week ended without a splash...
This year's Arizona bike week started off wet but ended up clear and sunny! The ride gave
us the elements to endure. This was Rommel's first long distance ride and was one he'll remember. We encountered
very windy conditions and was even met with a heavy thunder storm when entering Arizona! He rode like he'd done it before. This
year's rally was at the Raw Hide Amusement Ranch in Scottsdale. With an old time western theme where we got "lucky horseshoe"
souveniers, marshal and sheriff tin badges, a rodeo show, and a live band with a hot lead singer. Vendor's were plenty and
happy that the rains finally disappeared. We left late saturday and had a enjoyable ride back, except for Rommel's aching
ass. All in all it was a great ride for new and experienced rider's. Laughlin, here we come...
